Dr. Anna B. Creagh

Anna, aka Doc Voodoo, has over ten years of experience teaching people about the history, culture, and folklore of New Orleans. She holds an MA in Folklore and a PhD in Culture and Performance, with a focus on Afro-Caribbean spirituality and experiences involving the supernatural. Having studied Vodun in West Africa, Vodou in Haiti, Hoodoo in the Carolinas, and Voodoo in New Orleans, Anna is known for her multifaceted perspective on the history and modern practice of these traditions. As a professional storyteller and avid lover of New Orleans history, Anna can't resist offering lagniappe lore on pirates, ghosts, vampires, zombies, witchcraft, writers, queer history, cocktails, architecture, true crime, sinners and saints. Besides folklore, Anna's favorite thing in the world is stomping around the French Quarter and showing people a good time!
